Education Minister draws flak

Golaghat, Feb 20: This year, CCTV cameras have been installed in HSLC exam centres as per the directive of the SEBA. But on Monday some CCTV cameras were not working due to lack of electricity.

Also, today the exam for General Mathematics was scheduled, but in two centres, question papers were distributed of the subjects Assamese and Social Science which are scheduled to be held later. This created sensation and sharp reaction among the parents and examinees. Protesting against such anomalies and criticizing the role of State Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Golaghat unit of Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti burnt the effigy of the minister in the heart of Golaghat town. The protesters criticized minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that these incidents were very unfortute and the State Education Minister had failed to bring his department in order. The organization demanded stern steps against the officials responsible for such anomalies and warned the department not to play with the lives and sentiments of students.
