Educationist Bokul Saikia killed in Lepetkata road mishap

DULIAJAN, October 29: Various  social organizations like Duliajan Xahitya Xabha, Duliajan Press Club, Duliajan AASU, Duliajan Anchalik Committee Sadou Asom Mottock Yuba-Chatra Sanmilan, Duliajan AJYCP, Duliajan Chatra Mukti Sangram Samity, Duliajan Anchalik Raakh Mahotava Samity and many other organizations have  condoled the death of Dr Bokul Saikia, Principal of Spring Dales School, Duliajan and sent a condolence message to the bereaved family.

According to sources, Dr Saikia studied in Tipling Ghat High School and completed his masters in Geology and Doctor of Philosophy from Dibrugarh University. He did not seek any government job and started an English medium school in Duliajan.

According to sources, Dr Saikia and his colleague bakanta Talukdar, Vice-Principal of Spring Dales School, went to Moran from Duliajan in their car (AS06-G-1649). But near Lepetkata of NH-37, a Traveller car bearing number AS01F-4564 and coming from the opposite direction, had a head-on collision with the car in which Dr Saikia was travelling.

Dr Bokul Saikia died on the spot and his colleague bakanta Talukdar sustained serious injuries. Talukdar is admitted in the ICU of a private hospital in Dibrugarh. Dr  Saikia was involved with various social organizations and his demise has been widely condoled.
