Effigies burnt

JORHAT, May 23: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) along with several other organizations burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Petroleum Minister Dhramendra Pradhan at AT Road in Jorhat for hiking fuel prices.

“The prices of essential commodities and fuel are touching the sky. This is quite contrary to what this government had assured before coming to power. The people of Assam will give this government a fitting reply in the 2019 Lok Sabha election,” said Ritul Pathak, the president of AJYCP Jorhat district unit.
