Effigies of Zeliang, Rijiju burnt

MARGHERITA, March 8: The Dimapur lynching has been condemned by political and non-political organizations all over the country. In protest against the barbaric incident, activists of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (Socialist), Margherita Regiol Committee, burnt the effigies of galand Chief Minister T R Zeliang and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Sunday. More than 200 agitators gathered at Margherita Segunbari Tiniali NH 38.They shouted slogans such and took out a rally which was led by All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (Socialist) Central Committee vice-president Moinur Haque Talukdar and Margherita regiol committee president and secretary Md Mun Ansari and Md Abdul Matin respectively. They also submitted a memorandum to the Union Home Minister through the Margherita subdivisiol officer (Civil) where they demanded CBI enquiry and strict punishment for the guilty. They also demanded security for Assamese people living in Dimapur.
