Efforts on for an error free NRC: Mittal

GUWAHATI, May 17: While greeting the representatives of the All Guwahati Students’ Union and the Guwahati Zilla Karmachari Parishad on Thursday, Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal informed that the authority has been putting in all efforts to prepare an ‘error free’ and ‘illegal migrant-free’ NRC. Meanwhile, a joint representatives of the district units of All Assam Students’ Union and Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad have called on the Deputy Commissioners across the state and demanded an updated NRC absolutely free of names of illegal Bangladeshi migrants. Stressing on the fact that since the NRC work has been updated under the watchful observation of the Supreme Court, the representatives intensified their demand for an ‘error free’ NRC.
