SIVASAGAR, May 6: The Eir India Village Development Mission, a foundation to develop spiritual learning in the villages, celebrated its second foundation day at the Darika Borpatra High School premises in Sivasagar recently. Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar Hem Kanta Pegu attended the programme as the chief guest. He released a book Edenor Pora Boikunthaloi penned by Bhuban Chandra Gogoi, founder president of the Eir India Village Develoment Mission and Headmaster of Darika Borpatra High School. Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah, Padmashree Jadav Payeng, noted freedom fighters Khaniram Mili and Bhagyalata Gogoi, noted sculptor Angshuman Gogoi and noted educationists Munindrath Gogoi and Biman Konwar were also felicitated on the occasion for the contribution to the society. Munindrath Gogoi laid the foundation stone of a toilet block in the school which will be constructed under RMSA Fund. To commemorate the occasion, 50 saplings were also planted in the campus of the school.
