Election officer killed in road mishap at Dhodar Ali in Sivasagar

Joysagar: Sanjiv Bora (39), an Asom Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Mission programme officer and also an election officer deputed in the Charaideo district, was killed in a road mishap that took place on Wednesday night at Dhodar Ali under Sonari PS when he was coming back riding his motorcycle (AS-02-S-6201) after completing his panchayat duty. Locals revealed that there was heavy fog at night and due to that Sanjiv might have lost control over his motorcycle and hit a tree. He then fell into a drain and succumbed to his injuries. Sanjiv Bora hails from Tezpur. The Charaideo district administration has expressed grief at his demise.
