Elephant calf rescued

GORESWAR, July 5: An elephant calf was found floating in Bardi River at Dongergaon village near Ambarishgar in Baksa district on Wednesday morning. Sources said that the elephant calf was floating in the Bardi River from Bagamati and the villagers rescued the calf and informed the forest department. The forest department officials rushed to the spot and captured it and are trying to reunite it with its mother in Bardi Wildlife Sanctuary.
