Elephant calf rescued

Itagar, Jun 18: A wild elephant calf was rescued from Chessa I village under Papum Pare district of Aruchal Pradesh on Friday by the officials of forest department. The officials of Banderdewa Forest Division led by CCF RK Singh and DFO Neelam Nedo rescued the elephant calf which fell into a ditch after being swept away by strong river current.The elephant calf was shifted to Itagar Zoo for its further treatment and rehabilitation, an official release informed here today.
