Elephant tusks seized

TANGLA/ UDALGURI, May 5: The 37th Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) troops stationed at Bholatar B.O.P under E-Coy Samrang, along the Indo – Bhutan border in Udalguri district recovered two pieces of elephant tusk and a bi-cycle during routine patrolling near Shuklai river under Dimakuchi PS of Udalguri in the wee hours of Friday. The value of seized wild life product has been estimated to be nearly one lakh, stated a press statement from the office of the Commandant 37th Bn SSB Mangaldoi. The seized items were handed over to the forest department Noikhuti.
