Eleven Illegal Coal Laden Trucks Seized At Khanapara Area

GUWAHATI: CID on Saturday night seized 11 trucks carrying coals illegally from Meghalaya at Khanapara area. The trucks were trying to pass through the city to unload coals illegally at different States of the country and abroad. The trucks bored registration numbers HR 55 X 2268, PB 05 AB 1935, UP 13 AT 8414, PB 04 V 9811, PB 05 AB 2035, HR 46 D 3867, RJ 06 GA 2191, PB 13 BE 2715, UP 25 CT 8131, RS 52 GA 2963 and NL 01 K 0002. The CID seized the truck on the basis of inquiry of a case (06/2018) aboout movement of trucks illegally carrying coals in the city.
