Engineering college in Golaghat yet to be completed

Golaghat, Feb 7: The people of Golaghat, especially the young meritorious students, had lots of expectations regarding a new engineering college at Bogorijeng in Golaghat. The construction of this college started during the tenure of the Tarun Gogoi-led State Government but as yet the construction has not been completed.  The construction of the engineering college in Golaghat was started under the initiative of former minister and present MLA of Golaghat, Ajanta Neog with an estimated cost of Rs 36 crore and it was to be completed in the year 2016. But so far only about 70 per cent work has been done. The people have urged the present State Government to ensure that the engineering college get completed soon.
