Ensure regular SSA salaries: Governor

Itagar, Feb 2: Aruchal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa has asked the concerned officials of the state government to work out modalities to ensure regular payment to the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers in the state. While interacting with SSA teachers, who called on him at Raj Bhavan on Monday, the governor said that the SSA teachers must get their salaries and it should be regular also, an official communiqué informed here today. He asked the advisor G S Patik and secretary education Marnya Ete to work out means to address the grievances put forward by the SSA teachers. Patik, Ete and SSA State Mission Director Opak Gao were present on the occasion. Gao and Ete briefed the governor on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the state. Earlier, the SSA teachers led by Tagru Kasha, submitted a three-point memorandum, which included regularization of service, enhancement of pay and disbursement of salary on monthly basis, the communiqué added.
