Ering bats for inter- district road connectivity

Itagar, Oct 21: Lok Sabha MP from Aruchal East constituency Ninong Ering has called for inter-district road connectivity of Siang districts. While addressing a programe at Mirem village in East Siang district on Thursday, he appealed the MLAs Tatung Jamoh, Kaling Moyong and Kento Ri for a united proposal to the government for inter district road by linking Pasighat-Ledum-Tene road with West Siang to bring better road connectivity in the area. Meanwhile, a community hall funded by Ering under his MPLAD at a cost of Rs sixty lakh was iugurated by Head Gaon Bura of Mirem Village Tadi Mibang.

Ering said that MPLADs are for the developmental purposes in his constituency and he is doing no favour by giving developmental schemes to his people as funds are not given from his own pockets. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kento Ri appreciated the effort and unity of the people of Mirem village. Ri said that without education, no progress can be achieved. Ri also appealed to all the government employees presently under pen/tools down strike to stop their agitation as their continuous protest would adversely affect the public services. He said that he will take up with Chief Minister and Fince Minister regarding the issues of CoSAAP. Parliamentary Secretary Tatung Jamoh said that, he is giving importance to road connectivity in the area as road, education and health are the core sectors where development is required at the moment. He said that the road from Yemsing to Mirem (a direct road) is about to start as tender process has already been completed, a press release said here today.
