Ering calls for cordial relation with Assam

Itagar, Feb 24: Lok Sabha MP from Aruchal Pradesh East Constituency Ninong Ering has called upon the people residing in the inter-state boundary of Aruchal and Assam to maintain peaceful co-existence. Attending a sports event at Oyan village in East Siang district of Aruchal, bordering Assam on Wednesday, MP Ering said that the peaceful environment along the boundary should not be derailed at any cost, an official release informed here today. He urged the community leaders of both the states not to give commul colour to any dispute or confrontation that may occur along the boundary areas. Responding to a memorandum submitted by Oyan villagers, the MP assured to grant a fund worth Rs 10 lakhs for development of ‘Oyan village link road’ under his Local Area Development Fund in the next fiscal year. The 1-km rural road, which was developed under the initiative of former Rajya Sabha MP, Nyodek Yonggam during 1995 has been lying unrepaired for the last two decades, the release added.
