ESM meet held in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI, May 10: With a view to assess the problems and grievances of the Ex– Servicemen (ESM) and to apprise them of the new government and military policies, create awareness on implementation of various schemes and facilities provided by the government and filly to assure them of their lifetime bonding with the services, the troops of Red Horn Division stationed at Chapai near Mangaldai recently organized a meet for the Ex–Servicemen of Darrang and part of Udalguri district. A large number of Ex–Servicemen took part in the meeting while officials of Zila Sainik Board also attended the meet. In the meeting an open discussion was conducted on the relief policies of the government, problems faced by them and the resettlement of the ESMs. The need for focus on the education of the wards of the ESMs was also discussed. Senior officials of the army camp attended the meeting.
