Shillong, Jan 8: The Shillong Cantonment Board continuing with its drive to dismantle illegal structures in its jurisdiction today demolished shelters which housed about 80 families in Mathura Compound, Jhalupara in the city. The Shillong Cantonment Board authorities continued their demolition drive for the third consecutive day on Friday. The affected people, meanwhile, met the Meghalaya Governor, who assured them to take up the matter with the GOC.
