JORHAT, April 18: Former AGP MLA of Titabor, Hemanta Kalita said that he would join BJP on Sunday in presence of BJP State president Siddhartha Bhattacharya at the auditorium of Jorhat District Library. Kalita was the State spokesperson of AGP till his resigtion on Thursday and was the member of the steering committee. “I have already sent my resigtion to the AGP president. I have nothing to say against AGP. The party has given me a lot. But the new political perspective has inspired me to join BJP,” said Kalita. However, AGP president Atul Bora said that he had not received any resigtion letter from Hemanta Kalita.
