Ex gratia provided to flood victims

Silchar, June 25: Ex gratia amount of Rs.4 lakh was provided to families of the flood victims who lost their lives. MLA Rajdeep Goala recently gave Rs.4 lakh to Bedana Begum, wife of late Jamal Uddin, at SDO (Civil) Office in the presence of ADC J R Lalsim, in-charge SDO (Civil) Lakhipur, Lakhipur circle officer Pradip Kumar Gupta and magistrate Pritam Raja Sharma. In the same manner, Late Pratap Singh’s wife was also handed over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh by Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister, Fisheries and Excise, at Pratap’s residence at Dighli. Parimal Suklabaidya was accompanied by J R Lalsim, Pradip Kumar Gupta, BJP president Kaushik Rai, BJP workers Rina Singh, Sanjay Thakur, Thoiba Singh, Bappa Sen, Kalachand Banik and Achintya Deb. The Minister also met the family members of Jamal Uddin.
