Ex-ICICI Lombard employee arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Dispur police on Thursday arrested one Kuldip Das, former employee of the Rukminigaon branch of ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd, on charges of duping several customers in the name of providing insurance policies. Police sources said Das duped 328 customers by assuring them total insurance coverage of Rs 46 lakh. The accused though hails from Christian Basti area in the city, he had been staying in Abhyapuri in Bongaigaon district for sometimes to evade police.
