Ex-servicemen's rally in Jorhat concludes

Jorhat, Dec 5: Around 5,441 ex-servicemen, widows, Veer ries from the three forces Army, vy and Air Force gathered at Jorhat Military Station of the HQ 41 sub-area premises where ex-servicemen expressed their grievances and were apprised about the various welfare schemes of the Central Government.

Various issues related to regularization of pension, resolution and pension anomalies were explained and grievances addressed by the team from PCDA, Allahabad. Brigadier RK Gupta Dy. General Officer Commanding iugurated the rally and called upon the ex-servicemen about the good days ahead, an initiative taken by the NDA government.

Brig Gupta called upon the ex-servicemen to come forward and take the benefit of the Central Government schemes meant especially for defense personnel for their contribution for the country.

The GOC further said that the Ministry of Defense had tied up with the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, fincial institutions like SBI, PNB, Indian Bank and LIC to provide banking and insurance advice to the ex-servicemen for loans and opening of bank accounts and other fincial facilities.
