Ex servicemen's rally organized

Silchar, Nov 23: Assam Rifles which is known for deep bonds of brotherhood and camaraderie which remain ultered even after hangs his uniform. In order to maintain the continuity of the association, Assam Rifles organized an ex servicemen (ESM) rally on Tuesday for ESM, at No. 2 Maintence Group Assam Rifles Ground, Silchar under the aegis of headquarter IGAR (E). The chief guest on the occasion was Brigadier K P Singh, YSM, Deputy IG of HQ IGAR (E). Colonel Satyavir Shokeen, Col (Adm) of HQ IGAR (E) and Colonel rayan Yadav, Comdt No. 2 MGAR was also present on the occasion.

It was a noble gesture from Assam Rifles to remember the veterans and also address genuine grievances of ESM, Veer ris and Widows. The purpose of the rally was to redress the grievances of ESM as quickly as possible and to strengthen bonding within the organization. The rally was attended was more than 200 people including Assam Rifles ESM and other senior ranking officers.

Veer ris (war widows) was also felicitated during the programme in honour of the contributions of martyrs who laid down their life in the service of the tion. Queries of myriad ture put forth by ESM were resolved by honest and sincere efforts of all the agencies that came together to solve ESM problems and apprise them about welfare schemes for a well deserved honourable life after retirement.
