Excise Department seize illegal liquor in Sarupathar, Three held

Sarupathar: On a tip-off, the excise department of Sarupathar and a team of AASU from Tengani regional unit intercepted a Maruti van having bearing registration number AS 05 L 3805 and arrested one Krishna Gogoi and other two-person on Thursday.

As per reports, the excise department seized at least 108 bottles of illegal liquor from their possession.

It may be mentioned that the van was trapped at Barpathar town.

The value of the liquor is more than Rs 20 thousand.

A case has been registered at Barpathar police station in Dhansiri Subdivision.

Reportedly, the liquor was being ferried from Bora wine shop at Barpathar.
