Excise raid conducted

MARGHERITA, Sept 16: Margherita Excise and Digboi Excise on Friday jointly conducted a raid with the assistance of the AB force of Digboi Police Station at different places such as at No. 1 Borbil, No. 3 Borbil, Tingrai, Ben Ga Bari, Gopeneri and Powai bazaar where 16 cases were detected and nine persons were arrested in this connection. The seized items are FW 2485 litres, ID liquor 200 litres, 10 DA sets, IM Beer 2.60 BL and IMFL 0.36 BL. A case has been registered US 53(1) A and D of Assam Excise Act 2000.
