Excise raid in Sivasagar, five held

JOYSAGAR, Feb 20: Assam Excise Department and Sivasagar Police on Sunday conducted a joint operation against illegal liquor sellers of the district. Five persons were held and a total of excise prevention cases were also registered against them. Besides, 175 litres of country-made liquor were also destroyed by the team and six big drums of liquor were seized.
