Excise raids

SIVASAGAR, Feb 14: Excise department of zira subdivision sped up its operations against illegal liquor in various parts of zira town and its adjacent areas. Five persons were arrested by this operation team from Bihubor Kamalachapori, Lakshmijan, Adpuria, Chengelibor, Horohula, Hudupara and Aideubari areas under Geleky PS and 640 litres of wine-making pass, 12 litres of hooch (sulai) as well as six wine-making equipments were seized.
