Extortionist held in Jorhat

JORHAT: Luhit Bora alias Lothow, suspected to be a linkman of ULFA (I) or KMSS, allegedly demanded Rs 50,000 from a businessman. Police picked him up from Lothow on Friday night and produced him at the CJM court, said police sources.

Moreover, police recovered many extortion notes, letter pads, stamps and seals from his possession. Police sources said that Lothow was not involved with ULFA (I) or KMSS but is suspected to be a fraudster. The Jorhat Police team was led by Hemen Das, the officer in-charge of JorhatPolice Station.
