Extortionist surrenders

SHILLONG, April 22: One person involved in cases of extortion in South West Khasi Hills district surrendered before the police on Friday. According to police the extortionist one, Entli Nongbri of Kulang village and member of Lumlang Hashah gang formally surrendered before the Superintendent of Police (SP) South West Khasi Hills Herbert G Lyngdoh. It may be mentioned that Hashah was formerly an ANVC member which was formally disbanded in 2014.
He also deposited one a 7.65 pistol and four live ammunitions.
