Face-lift for Dibrugarh unit of AGP tea cell

Dibrugarh, February 11: In a bid to play a substantive role in the forthcoming Assembly elections,  the State regiol party Asom Ga Parishad (AGP), is modulating policies for giving a face-lift  to all the tea cells of the  party that are located in  different parts of the State.  

Such a meeting was recently held here, chaired by Dr. Kamini Ranjan Baruah, for reorganizing the district unit of AGP’s tea cell, which was attended by representatives from all the Assembly constituencies of the district. Later in the meeting, a district body was formed under which the party elected former ATTSA leader Lalbahadur Rabidas and Vikram Baraik, a teacher, as secretaries, respectively.

The meeting was also attended by district AGP president, Pukon Baruah; senior party leader, Tarath Buragohain, Sahera Laskar; a leader of Asom Mahila Parishad (AMP); local singer Sania Mirdha, and others. Earlier, the central secretary, Pramod Bhengra, acted as the observer of the meeting.

Several vital topics were discussed at the meeting and strategies were outlined for structuring guidelines for the ensuing Assembly elections. The meeting also emphasized on the basis points through which the party could entice the voters. The party, in the meeting, resolved to highlight the letdown of the incumbent Congress party in their election policies.
