DHUBRI, April 30: A seven-day faculty development programme on “Behavioural Remodelling for Enhancing the Classroom Delivery of Teachers’ was organized by Electronic and Information and Communication Technology Academy (E and ICT) Academy, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, Assam in association with Bholanath College in its auditorium hall recently. In his welcome address, Principal of Bholanath College, Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty said that such programme on behavioural remodelling for enhancing classroom delivery of teachers would help in their capacity building and also set a high standard of education.
“It is a unique programme developed by E and ICT Academy and IIT, Guwahati, and it is the need of the time that classroom delivery of teachers should be improved with an aim to upgrade and improve overall teaching pattern in this age of modern technology which is growing and advancing fast,” Chakrabortty added. Speaking in the programme, managing director of Indian Skill Academy and an empanelled member of E and ICT Academy, Anjan Chowdhury elaborately explained the programme as how it would enhance the ability and capability of delivering by teachers with the help of latest technology available. Technical Assistant of IIT, Guwahati, Rupam Das acted as resource person of the programme and assisted in conducting the week-long short-term course.
Talking to The Sentinel, Assistant Professor Dr. Pijus Kumar Mishra informed that the main objective of the programme was to impart soft skill development training to a level where faculties would be benefited in terms of teaching style, personality improvement and enhancing classroom delivery.
