Fairyland, Nichols win

GUWAHATI, March 30: Fairyland High School and Nichols High School won their respective matches in the bin Chandra Tamuly Inter School Cricket tourment which got under way at the Nehru stadium here today. In the first game Fairyland school defeated Jr Destine Academy English School by seven wickets. Nichols, in the other game, beat Pragjyotish school by 5 wickets. Earlier the meet was iugurated by Rajib Prakash Baruah, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) and the president of the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre. It may be mentioned here that the meet is organized by Guwahati Cricket Coaching centre. Ganesh Tamuly, the chairman of the organizing committee, was also present in the iugural function.

Brief score: 1st game-Jr Destine Academy English School 129-6 (25 overs), Sagar K Sha 76 Dhanjay Paswan 2-19, Fairyland High School 132-3 (21.3 overs), Kausar Ali 34, Atul Sinhl 34, Hridik Doimari 2-30. 2nd match; Pragjyotish School 128-4 (25 overs), Abdul Aziz 60, Akash Jyoti Kaushik 2-23, Nichols School 132-5 (25 overs), Rahul Sarma 24, Sayam Ansari 2-15, Vikash Sah 2-4.
