Fake Currency note worth Rs 1.8 lakh seized near Nehru Stadium in Guwahati

Guwahati: In a startling incident ahead of the general elections, Paltan Bazaar Police on Friday seized Fake Currency notes worth Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand from Islampur area near Nehru Stadium in Guwahati.

As per reports, a total of Rs 82,600 of Rs 200 denominations and Rs 97,500 in 500 denominations have been seized from the possession of three accused identified as Matlab Ali (30), son of Koran Ali, of Dhalpur no 3 in Sipajhar in Assam’s Darang district; Dilbar Hussain (27), son of Jamel Uddin and Amir Hanza, son of Kalilur Rahman, of Dhanbari in Darrang district.

It is to be noted that all the accused have been arrested from service lane of lslampur side Fly over near Landmark hotel near Nehru Stadium in B Baruah Road in Guwahati.
