BONGAIGAON, May 13: Duplicate note came out from a ATM machine of State Bank of India in New Bongaigaon of Bongaigaon town on Friday when Rajesh Sutradhar was withdrawing cash from that machine. Talking to press Sutradhar, said that he had withdrawn four thousand Rupees from that ATM and among the eight 500 Rupees notes, one was a duplicate. “I immediately ran to nearby SBI bank, New Bongaigaon branch to lodge a complain and get replacement of the duplicate note but they didn’t received my complain. They sent me to the main Bongaigaon branch. Arriving at Bongaigaon branch, I visited the Branch mager and lodged a complain. He received my complain but didn’t given replacement of the duplicate note. The mager said that a private organisation had been given contract to put the money in ATM machine and they have no guideline for such condition and hence he can’t do anything,” Sutradhar said. It should be mentioned that this is not the first incident of duplicate note from ATM machine in Bongaigaon.
