Farewell to headmaster

Doomdooma, May 4: Headmaster of Doomdooma Bangiya Vidyalaya Prabin Mazumdar who retired on April 30 after a distinguished service was formally bade farewell on Wednesday. The meeting held on the occasion in the school premises was anchored by Assistant Teacher Debajit Mitra who has earned a niche for himself as a reputed short story writer in Assamese.

Prabin Mazumdar, a recipient of District Level competent teachers’ award, was offered phulam gamosa, xarai and other gift items by the teachers and the students. In his address, Prabin Mazumdar thanked everybody for the love and affection shown to him and assured everybody to work for spread of education in future also. Abhijit Khataniar, Headmaster of Learners High School, Rupaisiding also bade farewell to him on behalf of the school. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the institutions of some of  the schools from Makum, Tinsukia and Panitola. He was also bade farewell in Doomdooma Hoonlal HS School and Rupai High School on April 28.
