Farmer's daughter brings laurels to Margherita

MARGHERITA, June 3: Nibita Sharma, daughter of a farmer, brought laurels to Margherita region by getting second highest marks in Sociology all over Assam in this year’s Higher Secondary examition.

Total 66 students appeared from Dehing Valley Junior College and 63 students passed, out of  which 15 students got first division, 31 students got second division marks and 17 students got third division. The total pass percentage is 98 per cent. Nibita Sharma is a student of Dehing Valley Junior College. She scored 97 in Sociology, in Assamese 95 marks, in Political Science 84 marks, in English 74 marks and in Education 71 marks. Her percentage is 84.2 per cent.

Nibita Sharma is the daughter of Ganga Prasad Sharma and Rukmini Sharma, a resident of Nepali Gaon Lekhapani under Margherita region. Her father is a farmer. Nibita Sharma said that show would take admission in Kanoi College, Dibrugarh with Major in Political Science. She aims to become an IPS officer and to serve the tion.
