Farmers join KSUP in gaon

From a Correspondent
GAON, March 1: Around 500 farmers of the district on Tuesday led by Utpal Borua, general secretary, gaon regiol committee of Krishak Sramik Unyan Samiti, formally joined Krishak Sramik Unyan Parishad (KSUP). At a function held at gaon Swahid Bhavan on Tuesday, the farmers of the district slammed the ‘monopoly’ of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) chief Akhil Gogoi and said that due to his ‘crooked’ polices, many activists of KMSS, especially from Upper Assam, had resigned from the organization and joined other revolutiory organizations of the State. Taking a dig at Akhil Gogoi in the function, the State president of KSUP, Pradip Kalita said, “Akhil is the modern Badan Borphukan and has diverted the poor farmers of the State.” He further alleged that the present Deputy Commissioner of gaon and other ADCs of the district always obeyed the orders of Congress leaders, MLAs and ministers.
