Farmers to get tractors at subsidized rate: Rakibul

Rangia, Jan 31: Around 10,000 farmers of Rangia constituency will be given Rs 5,000 each in spite of the deprivation of the Central Government. They will also be given tractors at subsidized rate. This was announced by State Agricultural Minister Rakibul Hussain at a meeting held at Rangia Idgah field on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Tariful Islam, president Rangia block Congress committee. The Agriculture Minister also slammed the Modi government and said that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi would come to power for the fourth consecutive time as Assam was developing under him.  He also criticized the AGP government led by former Chief Minister Prafulla Mahanta and said that the AGP government could not pay employees on time but the Congress government had ensured payment of salary of government employees on time. Former APCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita and Parliamentary Secretary and local MLA Ghashyam Kalita also spoke on the occasion.
