Father kills daughter at Bhawanipur

PATHSALA, July 25: The alleged murder of a two-year girl by her father on Sunday created sensation in Bhawanipur area of Paravharal village in Barpeta district. The father, Aiyuf Hussain, suspected his wife to be in a relationship with another person. On Sunday morning, Hussain allegedly fought with his wife over this issue and in a fit of rage he stched the baby girl from her mother’s lap and stabbed her with a knife. The baby was immediately taken to a hospital but she succumbed to her injuries.  After hearing about the death of his child, Hussain tried to commit suicide and was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. The baby’s body was taken to Barpeta Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
