Ferndez passes Atletico Madrid medical

Madrid, Dec 31 : Argentine midfielder Augusto Ferndez passed his medical tests here on Thursday before filising his deal with Spanish football club Atletico Madrid, though there are still some details expected to be completed in the coming hours. After bidding farewell to Celta Vigo by playing 77 minutes on Wednesday against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, Ferndez went to Madrid for his medical, reports Efe.

Ferndez said he is happy with the move, explaining that some details are still pending formalisation. The Argentine said upon arrival here that it was his decision to play against Bilbao, explaining that he is glad he did.' IANS
