'Festival of Speed' flagged off

Itagar, April 8: The second edition of the J K Tyre Aruchal Festival of Speed with over 30 participants from across the country got underway at Lopon Stadium, Dirang in West Kameng district on Tuesday.

This year’s event attracted some of the best rally drivers in the country out of which more than half the field comprises local talent representing the North East.

The three day event which will run till April 9 next was flagged off by West Kameng DC A K Singh amidst huge audience.

The unique aspect of the JK Tyre Aruchal Festival of Speed is that it combines three forms of off-road racing and rallying on a single platform. Over three days, the participants will be competing in Autocross, Rally Sprint and Hill Climb. The first day of the event witnessed Autocross where the racers showcased their spectacular driving skills in rrow tracks.
