Few awarded for helping police

SHILLONG, Feb 1: People who co-operated with the police for a social cause were felicitated by the East Khasi Hills police on Tuesday. These ordiry civilians, who were felicitated, were responsible for apprehending a kidpper and in recovering the run way truck that killed two people on the spot. In view of the above good work done by the public in helping police, M Kharkrang, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong awarded them with a Certificate of Appreciation and cash reward on Tuesday.
