FIFA delegate to visit Guwahati today

GUWAHATI, March 25: A delegation team of FIFA, lead by FIFA Head of Events Jaime Yarza  will visit Guwahati tomorrow to inspect the different infrastructures which will be used during the U-17 World cup. Guwahati is already selected as one of the venue for the prestigious meet. 
The inspection team of FIFA till date visited four venues of the competition which included Delhi, Goa, Kochi and Mumbai. Except Kochi, FIFA team has expressed satisfaction on the current status of the other venues. Now it is the turn of Guwahati to satisfy the officials that the city is ready for the event. 
A source from the Sports Authority of Assam, the owner of Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, today said that the visit of delegation team will kick off tomorrow from the same stadium. Later the FIFA officials will visit the other practice venues and hotels.
