Film maker Prafulla Baruah passes away

Jorhat, Jan 7: Noted film director and educationist Prafulla Baruah breathed his last at his residence at Tarajan in Jorhat town on Wednesday. He was 86.
Baruah was the director of popular Assamese films Rasmi Rekha and Rajoni Gandha. He was working as Principal at Sivasagar College. Baruah was the younger brother of renowned Assamese litterateur and former MP, Hem Baruah. He was associated with the Assam College Teacher Association and Axom tya Sanmiloni. His death was condoled by Samiron Bordoloi, assistant secretary of Axam Xahitya Xabha, Jorhat district Xahitya Xabha, Jourlist Association of Assam, Jorhat district committee, Xahitya Xanmiloni, Jorhat unit and Bokul Bon Trust.
