Financial awareness camp organized at Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: Financial awareness camp and vigilance awareness programme organized by Mancotta Branch of UCO Bank at Tulsigaon under Barbaruah Development Block were concluded recently. On the occasion, staff members of the bank addressed the gathering and highlighted different schemes run by the bank and government in public interest.

Senior Branch Manager, Bipin Kumar Singh, while addressing the gathering, elaborated various social security schemes, particularly Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana along with scheme for girl child Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, loan schemes related to KCC and Mudra schemes and laid more emphasis on their successful implementation.

Addressing as a special guest, Pranab Kumar Nath, Field Publicity Officer of Dibrugarh briefed on the current year slogan ‘Eradicate Corruption—Build a new India’ and appealed to all government officials concerned to be dedicated and to serve the poor. He also stressed digital transaction to minimize corruption and involvement of middlemen.

Prasanta Saikia highlighted the aims and objectives of the programme. Besides, an oath-taking ceremony on ‘Vigilance Awareness: Eradicate Corruption’ was administered on the occasion to government officials and people present.
