FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Feb 12: Fincial inclusion would ensure socio-economic development was the louder message given to about 200 woman representing same number SHGs during an awareness programme conducted at Itagar Municipal Council office here on Thursday. “Aruchalees with their very hard working ture, unique hospitality and simplicity despite demographic diversity and over 100 languages reflect the best example of ‘unity in diversity’ to the humanity”, said tiol Youth Project (NYP) vice president Pradeep Kumar in his address to the participants of the event, a collaborative attempt of the NYP, the State Urban Livelihood Mission (SULM) and the Itagar Municipality Council (IMC). If NYP chairman could convince dreaded Chambal dacoit to join tiol mainstream, Aruchal with vast fertile land could help huge food grains production by adopting the organic input developed by scientist Dr Nilamadhav nda to double production as has been proved in 40 tions. That would enrich every Aruchalee and help all to come under the fincial inclusion umbrella by opening an account in any bank to be part of India’s organized fincial sector and avail various benefits offered by the GoI, Kumar said while giving a call “Jago Aruchalees, jago!”  “Milkar saab awaj lagao, Hindi hey haam karado karod, desh ki raksha karne wale, desh ki aan pe marne wale, Hindi hey haam karado karod…”, the group sang the patriotic song in chorus with NYP president H P Biswas renting the air to reflecting the patriotism of Hindi-speaking  Aruchalees. Explaining the objectives of self-help group (SHG), Biswas cited the examples of success stories of SHGs in various parts of the state and exhorted the unorganized women to form SHG soon. SULM mission mager Ravi Sharma highlighted various aspects of fincial inclusion and benefits it would accrue to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion and profession. He exhorted all to open a bank account immediately which would automatically ensure benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yoj and others. The huge gathering in short notice at the initiative of IMC community organizers Linyom Nyodu and Tagru Amji deserves applause, Sharma added.
