Fincial literacy awareness programme held

GAURISAGAR, January 30:  Krishak Nyas, a leading social organization of Sivasagar district,  conducted a Fincial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) at No 2 Chintamonigarh Bortal LP  School  under Gaurisagar  Development Block in Sivasagar district on Friday. Vivek Shukla, Branch Mager, Asom Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), Charing Branch and Dilip Kumar Gupta, Branch Mager,UBI, Gaurisagar Branch took part the meeting as resource persons. In his speech Vivek Shukla emphasized on the need of account opening.  Dilip Kumar Gupta spoke about various loan products like KCC, interest subvention, crop insurance and benefits of timely repayment. He also emphasized about Mudra Yoja. Lakheswar Mahanta, DDM, BARD, Sivasagar highlighted the importance of banking savings and fincial planning. He also briefed about Pradhan Msntri Bima Suraksha Yoja (PMBSY), Pradhan Maontri Jibon Jyoti Bima Yoja (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yoja (APY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yoja (PMJDY). Earlier, Rajib Dutta, publicity secretary of Krishak Nyas,  welcomed the guests and gathering and anchored the whole programme.   In the meeting 45 new accounts were opened and all of them filled Pradhan Mantri Bima Suraksha Yoja (PMBSY) and Pradhan Montri Jibon Jyoti Bima Yoja (PMJJBY). A few farmers exchanged their views with resource persons regarding insurance schemes, KCC and other loans. A total of 75 participants took part the programme
