GAURISAGAR, September 27 : Krishak Nyas, a leading NGO of Sivasagar district, organized a day-long Fincial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) in association with tiol Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (BARD), Sivasagar on Tuesday at Dikhowmukh Milita Silpi Samaj auditorium under Gaurisagar Development Block in the district of Sivasagar.
In the function, Lakheswar Mahanta, District Development Mager (DDM), BARD, Sivasagar and Charaideo districts, Dilip Kumar Gupta, Branch Mager, UBI, Gaurisagar Branch took part as resource persons. Addressing the gathering, Lakheswar Mahanta, highlighted about fincial literacy and urged upon the public to save their hard-earned money for their future by saving in bank account. He also discussed various promotiol and developmental programmes of BARD including Stand-up India Scheme and formation of Joint Liability (JLG) group. The DDM also rrated briefly about Pradhan Mantir Surakshya Bima Yoja (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantir Jibon Jyoti Bima Yoja (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yoja( APY). In his speech Rajib Dutta, publicity secretary of Krishak Nyas, appealed to the gathering to take opportunity of insurances schemes and BARD schemes for their economic development.
