Tezpur, Oct 20: The court of Darak Ullah, Additiol District and Session Judge, Sonitpur on Friday sentenced a person for six months for possessing deer meat. The court has also fined Rs 10,000 as a compensation for loss of wildlife. The accused, Sadir Ali, was caught red handed by Range Officer of Rajib Gandhi Orang tiol Park Jayanta Deka along with police of Borsloa Out Post. The convict shall have to pay the said sum of compensation, in the trial court by way of bank draft in favour of the Chief Wildlife Warden, Assam, Basistha.
