FIR lodged against Tuki, others

ITAGAR, Dec 23: A group of organizations including Joint Action Committee Aruchal Pradesh (JACAP) while alleging misuse of government machinery recently has lodged an FIR at harlagun Police Station against Chief Minister bam Tuki, Home Minister Tanga Byaling, Parliamentary Secretary (Home) Likha Saaya and others in this regard.

The FIR lodged on Tuesday alleged that supporter of Tuki, Speaker bam Rebia and Byaling had completely blocked the highway at Papu llah near the Bridge Point in between Itagar and harlagun for seven hours on December 17 last, bringing vehicular traffic to a complete halt that caused untold sufferings to thousands of people, including businessmen, govt. employees, students.

The road blockade was imposed in complete defiance of prohibitory order under section 144 of CrPC issued by Capital Deputy Commissioner, the FIR alleged and demanded the Officer-in-charge of the Police station to book all those responsible for road blockade under the appropriate sections of the law. They also alleged that the ‘same miscreants’ have totally destroyed and damaged the properties worth crores of rupees that were arranged for holding session of the assembly after due permission from the Governor at Techi Takar Community Hall G-Sector, harlagun.
