Fire Breaks Out In ARTFED Office At Amabri In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A fire that broke out on Saturday night badly damaged the account section, computer section and office chambers of the DGM and the MD of the ARTFED (Assam Apex Weavers and Artisans Cooperative Federation Ltd) at Amabri in Guwahati.

While the office is located on the first floor, there is ARTFED's showroom on the ground floor in the building.

Various documents have been destroyed in the fire that is suspected to have caused due to short-circuit. As many as seven fire tenders were at work to prevent the inferno from spreading to the ground floor.
